Message From the President
Another curling season is under way and another year will soon pass us by. We have had a beautiful November but the best is yet to come. The club has had the heater installed and will be up and running for your comfort during the coldest portion of the season once the fans are installed. This will surely make curling more comfortable and improve ice conditions. Our parking lot has been enlarged and improved with added gravel at the back end, graded and additional new lighting, making it brighter and safer for all members. The Board would like to thank the volunteers who were able to make the necessary improvements for our safety.
Congratulations to the Stafford team consisting of Bob Stafford, Ben Curtis, Mark Patterson and Ed DeSchutter for winning the all Ontario in the Dominion Club Curling Championship. "Way to go guys."
The Open House was a complete success thanks to the hard work of the volunteers responsible for promoting and organizing the event. We hope that all members are able to support the club in the upcoming events such as our Sunday brunches and bonspiels.
We also would like to thank our sponsors and advertisers and ask that our members consider supporting these generous individuals should the opportunity arise.
On behalf of the Board of Directors we would like to wish all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Fundraising and Special Events
Your fundraising committee for this year consists of Reg Johnson, Bob O'Neill and Craig Weldon but we will be approaching other club members in the near future to help in our fundraising initiatives.
We are planning 3 Brunches this season, Sunday November 29th 2009, Sunday February 14 2010, and Sunday March 28th 2010. Chef Bob will be back so we again look forward to his wonderful selections with eager anticipation. We will need many helpers for kitchen duty and donations of food to make these events a financial success.
We still have two spots left for advertising signs on the end wall of the ice surface. These valuable spots are only $150 for the year - what a great way to advertise your business to the curling community.

There are still spots left on the Brick Wall in the Club entrance and for only $100 you can have your team, an 8-ender, an individual, a group, etc. remembered forever.
You can donate your Bond to the Club in exchange for a Lifetime Social Membership and your name will be engraved on the plaque in the stairwell.
